Unitec Step Up

ATTENTION: Year 13 Students, parents / caregivers:

UNITEC STEP UP Secondary School revision programme for 2012

Year 13 students will likely be at the stage where preparing for their end of year final exams becomes increasingly important, particularly as they will have already covered a considerable amount of the curriculum. STEP UP could be the answer to help many students.

Revision classes can benefit by:

Providing additional assistance by way of intensive pre-examination revision classes;

Offering classes in those NCEA subjects that they need most help with to further enhance their opportunities for exam success;

Having class sizes limited to a maximum of 16 students per class;

Being taught by experienced, practising secondary school teachers;

Offering classes during October holiday break so that it does not interfere with the school week (Monday 1 October—Wednesday 10 October);

Hosting classes in one central location (Unitec’s Mt Albert campus in Auckland).

To find out about STEP UP classes, students / parents / caregivers can view the latest news, take advantage of the various study skills sites UNITEC link to, enrol online or read what some of last year’s students thought by going directly to the STEP UP website at

www.stepup.unitec.ac.nz

Enrolments will be accepted from the term 3 and close on Friday 7 September.

Students are to enrol online as it provides them with immediate feedback about class availability.
