BYOC Information

(Bring your own Chromebook)

Dear parents, whānau and caregivers.

You may be aware that Tauranga Girls’ College is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school.  We believe that enhancing learning through the use of a digital device is key to ensuring we are providing our students with the skills they need to be successful both in and beyond school.

The school currently uses the Google platform to support teaching and learning.  With this being the case, the school has decided that use of a managed Chromebook is the most effective way to do this.  Therefore, the expectation is that all Year 9 students in 2018 will come with their own Chromebook.

Attached to this letter is information addressing this decision and also a flyer with device offers made in partnership with the Noel Leeming Group.

We warmly invite you to a community information evening on Thursday 30 November from 5.30pm to -
